detail the procedure slightly more:

would simply continue living where you are

We
will foot the bill for ALL costs of sub-division (including
land surveyors, town planners, as well as all required
guarantees that become necessary during the process)

WE
(being our joint venture) then sell the land and split all
profits (on a to-be-discussed basis).
This
has been done successfully on a number of occasions with
spectacular results to the landowners involved.
Because we are not greedy (we make most of our money from
the building of the units) landowners have been known to receive
almost double the amount they would have received from a straight
sale.
Often
the existing home can be incorporated in the development scheme
and a value placed on it. So, you can continue staying right where
you are and eventually live in the new complex with the added
advantage of the additional security and other amenities normally
offered.
If
the existing home is just not worth keeping we can simply build a
brand new unit for you out of your share of the profits.
